This page is a draft

DraftThis page is a draft.

It says what this website actually does with what you send us. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. The parts a Philippine privacy notice has to carry that we cannot answer yet, such as how long we keep an enquiry, are listed at the bottom as the questions still to be answered.

What happens to what you send us

This covers liamvi.com and the enquiry form on it: what we collect, why, who can see it, and the one cookie this site sets.

Who is responsible for it

LiamVi is a service of iStart International Inc., 2nd Floor, JY Square, Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City.

If you want to ask about your own information, write to info@liamvi.com.

The form

The form asks for four things, and keeps what you put in them.

  • Your name — kept on your enquiry.

  • Your email — kept on your enquiry. It is also how we tell one enquiry from another.

  • Your website — kept on your enquiry.

  • What you want to be found for — optional. If you write something here, it is saved as a note on your enquiry, in your own words.

The form asks for nothing else. There is no payment field, no phone field and no box that is ticked for you.

There is one box on the form you cannot see, and it is meant to stay empty. If something fills it in, the form refuses the whole submission. It is there to stop automated form-fillers, and a person never touches it.

If you send the form twice from the same email address, the second message is added to the enquiry we already have instead of starting a second one.

What you type goes to liamvi.com and is saved as a file on our own server. It is not handed to another company's system on the way.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you, and to keep track of the conversation after that.

  • We reply. Your enquiry sits in our own system until someone picks it up and writes back.

  • We write things down. When we speak to you, whoever you spoke to can add notes to your enquiry. What you tell us may end up written there.

  • Sending this form does not put you on a mailing list. This website sends no email at all. If you hear from us, a person wrote to you.

  • We do not sell what you send us, and we do not pass it to anyone outside LiamVi. That is a promise about what we do, not something the software enforces. What the software can show is below, under Who can see it.

Who can see it

Only people signed in to our own system, and only those given a sales role.

  • The person handling you sees your enquiry and nothing outside their own list.

  • Whoever runs sales sees every enquiry, and can download them as a spreadsheet.

  • Nobody reaches it from the public website. Reading an enquiry requires signing in.

Nothing sends your enquiry anywhere automatically. It leaves our system only when one of those people downloads it.

We set one cookie, and only if you arrived through a link from someone at LiamVi. Those links look like liamvi.com/r/ followed by a short code for that person.

  • What is in it. A short code for that person and the account it belongs to — nothing else. No name, no email, nothing you typed.

  • How long it lasts. 90 days at the moment. It is a setting on our side, so if we change it, this line changes with it.

  • What it is for. When you send the form, it tells us who sent you, so your enquiry reaches them.

  • The first one wins. If you later click someone else's link, the cookie is not changed.

The page's own scripts cannot read it. If you did not arrive through one of those links, we set no cookie at all.

There are no advertising, analytics or tracking scripts on this website, so the cookie above is the only one it sets.

What else gets recorded

  • A click on one of those links. One line in a log: the time, the code in the link, and a scrambled version of the internet address your connection is using. We do not store the address itself.

  • How often the form is sent. The form counts recent submissions the same scrambled way, so one connection cannot send it hundreds of times. That count is held in memory only, it is gone when the server restarts, and it is not attached to your enquiry.

What your own browser keeps

If you switch this site between light and dark, that choice is saved in your own browser so the page does not flash the wrong colours next time. It stays in your browser. It never reaches us.

What this page does not say yet

A privacy notice in the Philippines has to answer more than this page does. These are the answers we do not have in a form we are willing to publish, so they are questions here instead of sentences.

  1. How long an enquiry is kept, and what happens to it after that.
  2. How to ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or its removal.
  3. Whether the cookie above needs a consent notice.
  4. Whether the signed-in part of this site, behind the login, is covered by the same answers.
  5. What the web server itself records about a visit, and how long it keeps it.

Until each one has a real answer, it is not on this page.

If you have a question about any of this, write to info@liamvi.com, or use the contact form, which is the same form described above.
